Notes for Saverio Lazio

Buried at St. Joseph's Cemetary, Iowa City.

Some say Saverio was also called Samuel or Sylvester. Came to US when he was 10yrs old.

Saverio and Tom were in a partnership in the fruit business. Tom was in Sterling. John was in Rock Falls. Tom & John were buying bananas circa 1914-1917. Tom wouldn't sell to John. Saverio thought it was wrong that Tom wouldn't sell to his own brother John. So Saverio sold his half of his store to Tom, moved to Morrison, and opened up his own store. John then returned to Burlington.
