J.J. Rinella
Dies In South
Joseph J. Rinella, 51, of 7 1/2 South Dubuque Street, Iowa City,
businessman and owner of the Airliner, died suddenly in Hollywood,
Florida, early today of a heart attack. Mr. and Mrs. Rinella had been
vacationing in Florida since November.
Mr. Rinella was born here March 19, 1904, a son of Joseph J. and
Josephine Rinella. He attended St. Mary's school in Iowa City.
He became operator and owner of the Airliner in 1947.
Survivors include his widow, Edria B. Rinella; one daughter, Mrs.
Edward J. Clarke of Chicago, Ill.; a son, John L. Rinella of Iowa City;
five sisters, Mrs. William Hannah and Mrs. Leo Gorman, both of Iowa
City; Mrs. Jack E. Kelly of Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Frank Postero, of Athens,
Georgia; Mrs. Dominic Amici, of Orlando, Florida; one brother, Anthony
J. Rinella of Iowa City; a niece, Rosemary DiMarie of Chicago, Ill., and
a nephew, Sam J. Latino of Inman, South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Rinella.
